About
Ruge Li is a 2D animator and designer currently based in Edinburgh (and happy to relocate).
She graduated with a first-class honours degree in Animation from Edinburgh College of Art, and is now looking to start her career in the creative industry.
She turns observations of the often-overlooked moments of everyday life into playful and colourful animation. She believes in the transformative power of animation to convey messages and bring people joy.

Bio
Ruge comes from a multicultural background. She grew up in Beijing, spent four years in the US during high school, and then moved to Edinburgh for university.
Coming from a science-focused high school where many of her peers collected medals in math competitions, she was the black sheep, drawing away in the attic. She solidified her interest in animation through summer programmes at RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) and Ringling College of Art and Design.
Her interests span a wide range of creative disciplines, from animated TV series to advertising and packaging design. She has gained internship experience in character design, illustration for video content, poster design for social media campaigns, marketing, and project management.
As a highly organised and adaptable creative, she thrives in diverse environments and is now looking forward to her next exciting adventure.
